Matthew Miller is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in the industry. His background spans diverse sectors, including automotive, chemical, defense, energy, financial, information technologies, insurance, intelligence, retail, manufacturing, and telecommunications, where he has supported federal/state institutions, private organizations, and Fortune 500 companies.
Throughout his career, he has held roles as a developer (covering traditional and embedded IoT), systems administrator (including high performance), consultant, and security engineer, AI platform architect working with customers both CONUS and OCONUS. This extensive experience provides him with a comprehensive DevSecAIOps background and a deep understanding of application development and security.
Paul is the creator of InfluxDB. He has helped build software for startups, large companies, and organizations like Microsoft, Google, McAfee, Thomson Reuters, and Air Force Space Command. He is the series editor for Addison Wesley’s Data & Analytics book and video series. In 2010, Paul wrote the book Service-Oriented Design with Ruby and Rails for Addison-Wesley. In 2009, he started the NYC Machine Learning Meetup, which now has over 13,000 members. Paul holds a degree in computer science from Columbia University.
Joe Pringle is VP of Customer Success at lakeFS. He works with enterprise customers across defense, automotive, healthcare, financial services, and energy, helping technical and business leaders adopt data version control for production AI/ML pipelines in complex, regulated environments. His focus is on translating real-world data challenges into practical strategies for data reliability, lineage, and governance at scale.
Joe brings 15+ years of experience helping enterprises plan, design, and deploy data and AI systems for high-stakes use cases in highly regulated industries. He spent 6.5 years as an AI Specialist at AWS, where he partnered with hundreds of customers to evaluate and adopt AI/ML platforms, architect production systems, and navigate complex build-vs-buy decisions across the data and AI stack — from traditional ML and computer vision to generative AI, RAG, and agentic workflows. He also held leadership roles at CARTO (geospatial analytics) and Socrata (government data platforms), driving platform adoption and customer impact across healthcare, financial services, public sector, defense, and education technology.
Joe holds an MS in Environmental Science from UNC and a BS in Chemistry from Washington & Lee University.
