We are excited to share that lakeFS is named in the “Coolest Vendor Innovations in Data Management” report from Gartner, published on July 29. The report states “In 2026, there is tremendous interest in deploying AI agents to automate data engineering tasks and operational and analytical workflows. Both vendors and end-user companies are investing heavily in agentic AI, envisioning a world where companies deploy thousands of agents to complete data management tasks, like building data pipelines, monitoring data quality, and documenting data lineage.”*
The report notes that “most enterprise data isn’t organized, contextualized, governed, or automated in a way that autonomous AI agents can act on it.” It further explains that as organizations adopt AI, DataOps practices such as testing, reproducibility, traceability, and version control become increasingly important to support trusted and reliable AI-driven operations.*
Our CEO Einat Orr said, “In our view, this recognition from Gartner supports what we hear from our customers every day: lakeFS closes a critical gap in AI data management by supporting reproducibility, governance, and trust while increasing efficiency in AI agent and model delivery. lakeFS provides an immutable data management layer for multimodal data that sits at the heart of AI. This makes it a data foundation for AI that enterprises can’t do without.”
We are grateful for the recognition and, more than that, for the customers and community who got us here. If you want to read the report yourself, you can get a complimentary copy here.
